e-Filing LHDN

To provide taxpayers with a more convenient and secure means of declaring taxes, Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri Malaysia (LHDNM) in collaboration with DIGICERT Sdn. Bhd. have introduced e-Filing, a method of declaring taxes via the Internet. With the advent of e-Filing tax payers have an easier means of declaring their taxes at their own convenience.

All a taxpayer needs to do is

1- access the e-Filing website at https://e.hasil.gov.my,
2- download a digital certificate and tax return form,
3- then complete and digitally sign the form and submit it on-line.

The digital certificate conforms to X.509 standards, which guarantees the authenticity, integrity and confidentiality as well as non-repudiation of all digital documents and files.

When applying for a digital certificate, user has two options:

• MyKad digital certificate – the digital certificate will be stored in your MyKad.
• SoftCert digital certificate – the digital certificate will be stored in your computer’s hard disk.
