KUCHING Feb 17 (Bernama) - Tax payers in Sarawak are advised to use the E-Filing system in matters connected with taxation to ensure a speedy and accurate service.

Sarawak Inland Revenue Board Director Zaharah Mokhtar said tax assessment forms can be sumbitted through the Internet at www.hasilnet.org.my.

"The "e-Filing" system was developed last year and started to be used from this year," she said at the launching of the Tax Payers Service Month 2006, Sarawak level here Friday.

State Deputy Minister of Tourism and Youth Affairs, Hamden Ahmad who represented the Second Finance Minister Datuk Seri Wong Soon Koh, launched the Service Month.

Zaharah said the advantages of the "e-Filing" system, among others, was security, as the confidentiality of one's personal details were ensured, acknowledgement of transaction given immediately after the transaction and the transaction could be made at any time.
